What metrics does Azoma use to measure AI visibility?

Azoma reports eight metrics on how AI shopping agents see, rank and cite your products: Agentic Shelf Score, Share of Voice, average position, visibility, total citations, response reach, share of citations and mention rate. Most can be filtered by region, time period and AI engine or shopping agent.

The Agentic Shelf Score is Azoma's score out of 100 for how ready your products are to be recommended by AI shopping agents, averaged across your catalog. Each SKU is scored on each of the 5 C's of Agentic Commerce (Completeness, Context, Citations, Correctness and Customer Acquisition), and those scores combine into its Agentic Shelf Score.

Share of Voice is the percentage of brand mentions in AI responses that belong to your brand, out of all brand mentions across your tracked competitors. You can view Share of Voice for each AI model and shopping agent Azoma tracks.

You can also compare Share of Voice across topic groups. A topic group bundles prompt topics into a custom grouping, so you can see how your brand performs across themes such as a product line or a shopper need.

Average position is the average position at which a product appears in AI shopping recommendations over the selected period. It's part of Azoma's Product AI Rank.

Visibility is how often a product is recommended by AI shopping agents in the selected period, shown as a percentage. It's part of Azoma's Product AI Rank.

Visibility changes are shown in percentage points (pp): the current visibility figure minus the figure for the previous period of equal length. A product that moves from 20% to 25% visibility shows +5 pp.

Total citations is the number of times a source URL is cited in AI responses.

Response reach is the percentage of all AI responses that cite a source at least once. It shows how widely a source is used across answers.

Share of citations is the percentage of all citations that come from a source. It shows how much of the total citation pool a source accounts for.

Mention rate is how often your brand is mentioned in AI responses to a tracked prompt in the selected period, compared with the previous period of equal length.
